Stepping Into Style: My Visit to Prada Caffè, London

7/04/2025Jake Ryan

Tucked into a leafy corner of Harrods, The Prada Caffè greets you with a pop of mint-green latticework, an unexpected yet effortlessly chic contrast to the department store’s classic terracotta‑brick façade.

Decor & Vibe

Time-warped into a mid-century Milanese soda shop, the cafĂ© delights with pastel-green walls, velvet-upholstered seating, and intricate floral bas-reliefs. A glossy black‑and‑white checkerboard floor pays homage to Prada’s Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II boutique, a nod to the brand’s origins in Italy.

Gold-accented lighting, Japanese porcelain cups, and crystal glassware embossed with Prada’s triangular motif all serve to elevate even a simple coffee break to a sensory celebration.

The Coffee.

I indulged in a classic cappuccino, smooth, and perfectly brewed, and sipped it on a plush green velvet sofa. It felt more like a treat than a caffeine fix.

Cake & Tastes

The pastries stole the show. I sampled a delicate cake that struck the perfect balance: not overly sweet, beautifully presented, and evidently high-quality. The cake was priced at around £15, which, while steep, didn’t feel excessive once the flavor hit—worth it, IMO .

Price vs. Pleasure

Yes, it’s undeniably luxurious:

  • Cakes hover around £15 each.

  • Coffee runs to £6–£8, based on similar Harrods venues.

Final Thoughts

If you’re craving an experience that blends high-fashion with high-flavor, this is a must-visit. The dĂ©cor transports you straight to a Prada dreamscape; the coffee warms; the cakes delight. And yes, the prices are premium, but that’s part of the package.

For a memorable moment in a plush setting—whether you're celebrating something or just treating yourself—Prada Caffè delivers. Just don’t forget to make a reservation and bring your appetite (and willingness to pay for it!).
