The Antiguan Carnival is a celebration of the emancipation of slavery. The carnival takes place annually over 10 days from the end of July lasting until the first Tuesday of August.
The last day in the carnival you will find brass and steel bands taking to the streets in a huge final celebration.
In August 2016, I attended the Antigua Carnival and had an incredible time experiencing the event with the locals.
Check out some of the photos from my time at the Carnival.
