The KL Tower observation deck is not the only choice you have in Kuala Lumpur when it comes to stunning views of the city, but it is one of the best.
Set a little further back, the KL tower includes the views of the Petronas Towers and has a couple of options when it comes to viewing the city.
You can head straight to the Observation deck and stay there. The Oberservation deck is a 360 view of the city, however this is all seen through glass. Or you can pay a little extra and upgrade your ticket to the Sky Deck ticket. Which is an outside deck and sky box experience.
I opted for the Sky Deck ticket as I wanted to experience the Sky Box. A glass box hanging over the edge of the observation deck. (I have this thing with glass bottom experiences)
The Sky Box experience is well handled, as you have to line up and then each person is given the box to themselves to take their photos in the glass box. A professional photographer is there, who will take photos you can purchase inside, however if you pass him your own camera he’ll also take a few snaps on that too in case you don’t want to pay for any.
I have read online that the sky deck closes when it rains and that no refunds will be given, so have this in mind when visiting as the weather in Kuala Lumpur can be extremely unpredictable.
Check out how my time at the Sky Deck looked.
Would you sit in the Sky Box?
