Before my trip to Antigua, everyone I knew who had previously been would tell me “make sure you visit Shirley Heights on a Sunday night”
I don’t always take advice as I like to find my own way, however when so many people say the same thing, I just had to listen.
The Sunday Barbecue party is now the longest running event having hosted thousands of them since they began. From 4pm you can sit and listen to the rhythm of the steel band and enjoy the mouth watering food from the Barbecue.
At 7pm the entertaining changes to a party band and you can listen to some of the islands party bands.
One of my favourite moments from the night however was watching the sunset. You can watch the sunset from several lookout points and it easily makes it worth the $8 entrance fee.
